The modern American bayonet for the AR-15 series. Although this looks like something from the future, the design is in fact almost 30 years old. A pretty neat-looking thing for a standard military bayonet. Reproduction.
The M7 bayonet, that old Vietnam veteran, was replaced in 1984 with the M9 (most likely inspired by Rambo), which features a more knife-like blade and a sheath that doubles up as a wire cutter, much like the Soviet ones. This is a reproduction made by Mil-Tec, and actually a rather well made one at that.
The bayonet is held in the sheath by two snap straps, on the sheath there is a small accessory pouch which is already packed with matches, a fishing hook and line and a chinese bandage. The removeable belt loop opens by pressing the two legs together.
Materials plastic, nylon and steel. Stored thoroughly greased, this comes off quite easily with hot wather and scrubbing.
Factory new, made by Mil-Tec.
