The Air-Flow insole represents a revolutionary advancement in footwear technology, distinguished by its patented design that offers unparalleled dynamic shock absorption and tailored support for individual foot shapes. At the core of Air-Flow's design is a highly durable airbag located in the heel section. This airbag is engineered to compress under the weight of your body with each step, effectively cushioning the impact. Connected to this heel airbag are ducts that channel some of the air to another airbag situated under the arch of the foot. This arch air cushion is ingeniously designed with three air chambers of varying sizes: a large central chamber for the peak of the arch and two smaller chambers on either side to seamlessly blend support across the foot. This configuration mimics the customized support typically only achievable with molded insoles.
Unlike conventional insoles that offer static shock absorption, where the sole remains passive under the moving foot, the Air-Flow insole introduces a dynamic interaction between the foot and the sole. The movement of air within its airbags not only provides a forward propulsion with each step but also creates a massaging sensation that enhances the wearer's experience.
The insole's technology incorporates shock-absorbing EVA material throughout its entirety for uniform cushioning. Additional stability and support are provided by an extra-hard Hytrel® shell around the heel and midfoot, while the forefoot benefits from the inclusion of Poron®, an exceptionally shock-absorbent material, for added comfort.
Despite its comprehensive features, the Air-Flow insole maintains a slim profile at only 4.5 mm thick, making it compatible with a wide range of footwear. It's important to note that this insole can increase shoe size slightly, thus it may be best suited for shoes with removable insoles such as athletic shoes, work boots, and hiking boots. For tighter-fitting everyday shoes, thinner versions of the Air-Flow insole are available in 3.5 and 2.5 mm thicknesses.
The Air-Flow 4.5 is offered in six sizes, ranging from 36-37.5 to 46-47.5, and can be custom-trimmed for a perfect fit using sharp scissors. The most effective method for achieving this custom fit is to use the existing insole of your shoe as a template for cutting. This innovative insole not only enhances comfort and support but also contributes to a healthier and more dynamic walking experience.
