Benchmade 178SBKSN Socp Spear Point is a discreet tactical knife with a skeletal structure, designed with the participation of the creator of the SOCP program, a combat system used by US Army special units.
Simple and durable, the Benchmade 178SBKSN is a tactical knife made entirely of 440C stainless steel and coated with a layer of black Teflon. The knife features a full-tang construction, meaning it is made from one piece of steel.
The slim 82 mm blade is double-sided and finished with an aggressive tip for excellent piercing capabilities. Additionally, the back of the cutting edge is serrated to increase the knife's versatility. This combo blade design is especially useful when cutting through tough, fibrous materials like belts, ropes, and tape.
The Benchmade 178SBKSN also features an ergonomic handle. Transverse grooves were added to the narrow handle and at the base of the blade to improve grip. The handle also has anatomical finger grooves to prevent slipping, even from a sweaty hand.
At the back of the handle, there is a distinct ring that makes it easier to pull the knife out of the sheath, allowing for quick changes in grip and hammer blows. Skillful use of the ring can practically eliminate the possibility of an attacker taking control of the knife.
Polymer sheath - For safe carrying of the tool, a polymer sheath with a clip (sand color) is used, compatible with the MOLLE system , so it can be attached to military vests, belts and panels.
