The small fly must be simple, tied with carefully to swim and fish effectively despite its tiny size. A good taper and soft hair make even the smallest fly look alive. The micro tubes out-fish small hook flies anytime. Lighter and livelier, offering the flexibility to change hook size and color, they are simply the best design. Secure the loose hook with FITS tubing in S or XS.
Here it is again, our most well-known pattern. A fly that has taken tens of thousands of salmon. We fish it gladly and often, big or small. It’s a great standard fly which works everywhere, maybe it’s best in tea coloured rivers, or on that low August river. Sometimes we vary the hackle and put the orange grizzly to the front and sometimes we use that orange metallic coloured cone, nevertheless in any shape it’s just a fantastic little fly.
