The Cetus (Cetus) is a fairly large constellation in the southern celestial hemisphere sky and is well known since ancient times. The constellation is also one of the 88 modern constellations recognized by the International Astronomical Union. The brightest star in the constellation is Deneb Kaitos, an orange giant that is evolving into a red giant.
