Baofeng PTT Guard in combination with volume dial is a must-have upgrade kit for any airsoft player or radio enthusiast. This kit includes:
- PTT guard to avoid accidentally pressing transmit button (especially when in a soft pouch)
- Volume dial with o-ring to prevent unintentional volume adjustments
- Rubber band to keep the PTT guard and comms plug extra secure
This Baofeng PTT guard is made specifically for genuine Baofeng UV-5R / UV-5R-8W models to prevent hotmicing. Our PTT guard is made from durable PA12 Nylon and is fixed in place with the original screws used to mount the belt clip.
Our aluminum volume dial comes with an o-ring that adds extra friction to prevent accidental adjustments and has a nice knurling pattern that makes it easy to adjust even with gloves on.
While the PTT guard sits tightly against the radio by itself we often found ourselves using a rubber band to secure the comms cable tightly so we included it as well and made a special groove for it in the PTT guard.
