Medium size, straightforward boxy lidded general purpose pouch with SR buckle closure and snow collar. PALS and belt compatible attachment system. The 3x4 in the name refers to the PALS attachment footprint, three channels wide, four rows tall.
Our simple lidded general purpose pouches are best suited for bulkier items, as opposed to our zipped GP pouches which offer a lot of internal organization options for various small items. The lid and snow collar allow you to overpack the pouch a bit when needed.
The lid covers the top and sides of the pouch and the snow collar offers added protection and security when carrying smaller items. The webbing to which the male SR buckle is attached is bartacked to the pouch body, forming loops through which you can thread an elastic cord for compression. At the very bottom is a drainage grommet to let water out.
The rear features our standard PALS attachment webbing system with tuck tabs. Attaches to three channels and four rows of PALS webbing. The attachment straps can also be woven into belt loops for 45-50 mm wide belts.
Fits all sorts of stuff
Due to its shape and size, the 3x4 works well as a belt/side/front pouch on backpacks and utility/canteen pouch on combat belts and vests. This is a general purpose utility pouch, you know best what you want and need to carry in it, but here are some inspirational examples:
- A standard military 1 litre plastic water bottle and ziplock bag of water purifying tablets
- A lightweight rain poncho and cordage for shelter setups
- 3-4 assault rifle magazines, this sort of extra capacity might be handy at times
