SPRO was founded in 1994 by the Japanese hook specialist Gamakatsu to reach anglers in Europe. Initially, SPRO primarily sold Gamakatsu hooks and lines. Today, it is one of Europe’s major fishing tackle brands, with a focus on predator fishing as well as accessories for coarse and carp fishing.
