Gun jags

A jag is a pointed attachment used to push a cleaning pad tightly through the barrel. It screws onto the firing pin and applies firm pressure against the barrel walls, effectively removing dirt, gunpowder residue and solvent. This provides a more thorough cleaning compared to a loose pull pad.

Jags are available in several materials such as brass, plastic and aluminum - and are tailored to the caliber so that the pad fits perfectly. Some models have grooves that capture dirt, while others are smooth for a tighter fit. Regardless of the weapon, a good jag makes a big difference in the result.
