Monofilament lines

Nylon lines are a classic choice and are used in many types of fishing. They are easy to handle, easy to tie and work well with different types of equipment. Thanks to their construction, they lie stable on the reel and are easy to work with out on the water.

A big advantage of nylon line is that it has stretch. This means that it absorbs jerks and rushes from the fish, which can reduce the risk of the hook coming loose. Unlike braided line which is stiff, nylon line gives a more forgiving feel, especially when fishing with smaller hooks or when the fish is biting hard.
