Åby has a straighter edge and grinding and a good finger notch below the head for increased precision. The long, thin ergonomic handle minimizes the weight, at the same time giving you great force when striking. The axe is hand forged and made from Swedish quality steel. As part of the head-forging process, the steel axe head is struck 40-60 times, thereby increasing its density and resulting in great durability. The Åby is named after the nearest village from Hults Bruk, where many of the workers at the forge lived in the mid 20th century.
