- Tempest Drum Magazine — 32 Rounds | T17 & M17 G3 Compatible — MagFed & Less-Lethal Ready
When the Tempest Drum first debuted with the Milsig M17 SMG in 2015 it became one of our most iconic setups. Now Tempest returns, redesigned from the ground up for today’s players, trainers, and tactical teams.
The Tempest Drum Mag provides 32 rounds of capacity for shaped projectiles and .68-caliber paintballs and is also engineered to work with many compatible less-lethal launchers. Its standout feature is an industry-first adjustable spring tension—allowing you to soften the feed for brittle tournament paint or increase tension to reliably feed heavier, solid projectiles used in less-lethal applications. That flexibility removes the common tradeoffs of older drums and eliminates the need to swap springs when changing munition types.
Why Tempest?
- Tool-less operation: Open, load, adjust, and clean with the push of a button — no tools required
- Industry-first adjustable spring tension: Dial spring tension up or down to reliably feed brittle tournament paint or heavier solid rounds without swapping springs. This removes a major limitation of previous drum designs
- Fully mechanical: No batteries, no wiring, no electronics — dependable performance in wet or dirty conditions
- Modular feed neck: Removable feed neck with adaptor options lets Tempest work on a wide range of markers beyond the T17/M17 G3 family
- Separated winder & ball release: Intuitive winding and independent ball release for smoother feeding and simpler operation
- Magfed + Less-Lethal Ready: Designed for magfed paintball markers and compatible less-lethal launchers (check launcher fitment)
Ideal for magfed players, milsim events, force-on-force training, and teams using less-lethal launchers who need high capacity, reliable feeding, and the ability to switch projectile types quickly.
- Never perform a dry release. Do not release a fully wound (high-tension) EMPTY Tempest Drum Mag onto an marker or disengage it while it is under tension. A sudden release of the internal spring drive can strike and DAMAGE the feed catch or feed mechanism
