In its price range, Halo EVO offers class-leading quality in both materials and manufacturing. These large arbor fly reels are CNC-machined from high-grade aluminum, ensuring durability and smooth operation on the water. All models feature a full-frame design that stabilizes the structure and prevents thin shooting lines from slipping between spool and frame — a must for today’s diverse fly line systems. The large arbor design enables fast line retrieval and reduces memory in the fly line.
Adapted Drag Strengths
The sealed carbon/stainless disc drag system is proven over years of fishing in all conditions — from cold rivers to tropical flats. It requires minimal maintenance and is built to withstand years of active use in both freshwater and saltwater environments. To optimize performance, each model features a drag system tailored to its intended use. The 46 Trout model offers 1.5 kg of drag power at the spool base, while the 79 and 911 models put out 4.0 kg of drag power for heavier fish in tough conditions.
Signature Halo EVO Details
The reels come with a Left Hand retrieve direction, but it is quick and easy to change, requiring only a few minutes and no tools. Ergonomic drag knobs ensure secure handling and easy adjustments, even with wet hands or cold fingers. The spool and frame rims feature engraved circles — the signature “Halo” effect. The Stealth Black finish, combined with chrome accents, gives Halo EVO a clean, modern look that pairs well with a wide range of rods and environments. All models share the same external design, with subtle differences in drag knobs. The 46 model features a smaller knob with a matching center plate, while the 79 and 911 reels have larger, fully chromed knobs for enhanced grip and visual contrast.
