The ProSHARP sharpener from The Edge brand is a professional sharpening system, allowing you to conduct proper and precise sharpening of top quality kitchen, survival and EDC knife blades. Its design ensures that the correct sharpening angle is maintained, and the interchangeable diamond plates allow you to select the appropriate gradation.
The lightweight polymer frame features a large suction cup, allowing it to be securely mounted on a tabletop. The knife is secured to the base with two metal plates fitted with protective rubber caps - these hold the knife in a locked position, ensuring a fixed sharpening point and making accidental injury difficult.
Sharpening is accomplished by placing one or two sharpening plates of the selected gradation - 240, 600 or 1000 - on the guide and placing its rod in the selected slot of the plastic frame. These slots have pre-determined sharpening angles: 10°, 12°, 20°. 25° and 30° degrees. Once the guide is placed at the correct angle, you can start sharpening by rubbing the edge of the blade with the plate - you don't need to apply any additional pressure, just the weight of the guide.
